The Frescography is the only reproduction method which allows the perfect adjustment of the picture composition to any given project site. This makes the Frescography a revolutionary breakthrough in the field of wall painting; it enables the production of wall paintings at a much lower cost and shorter length of time, thus opening this art form to a far wider audience.

While other techniques use readymade paintings which only are scaled or cut to fit to the wall measurements, Latzke chose a completely different approach. In this process, paintings are disassembled into their individual elements and then reassembled accordingly to the architecture of the room. The composition is then transferred to a wall-size canvas and attached on-site to the wall. Doors and windows can be integrated into the painting by framing them with illusionistic architecture, giving the Frescography the same impression as an on-site, hand-created wall painting.

Like an original Lithography every Frescography is hand-manufactured in the artist´s studio and signed with the artist’s signature, making it a valuable and unique piece of art.

Asia Pool

By integrating all architectural elements of a room into the composition, the outcome of a Frescography is equivalent to the Trompe l’oeil effect (French for ‘tricking the eye’) of a mural created onsite.

A flawless illusion through the perfect adjustment to the architectural requirements of the wall: A niche becomes a comfortable seating area where one can take a seat inside the picture.

Pudong apartment

In Shanghai, next to the Pudong River, Latzke created a beautiful, classical European atmosphere for a wealthy client´s apartment.

With Frescographies, walls become art work: Lifeless walls become vibrant: illusionary architecture, European paintings and a terrace overlooking Capri form a classical European atmosphere.
