Rainer Maria Latzke receives a Patent for his invention of the Frescography Technique
February 3rd, 2003
After more than three years of developmental work, Rainer Maria Latzke and his team of IT specialists, print technicians and material researchers have been proud to receive a patent for the new production technique for large-scale wall paintings. Using advanced computer technologies as well as classic craftsmanship, the Frescography is the first reproduction method to enable the perfect tailoring of printed murals to the specific architecture and the customer´s wishes. The new technique is not only time-saving but also minimizes costs; two qaulities that have helped to open the “Art of the Kings” to a wider public. Latzke describes the effect of the Frescography, which he named after the Latin word “Fresco” and the Greek word “graphein” for reproduction, like this: “To understand the impact of this technology, consider how a Porsche would pass a horse drawn coach. If Leonardo da Vinci were alive today, he would have it invented as well – but maybe a little bit quicker.”
